This hourly position is for full time work, with several different shifts available and may include weekends and/or weekdays, up until the first of December. The primary responsibilities are to greet individuals as they enter the property in their vehicles, checking credentials, and directing deliveries. You will be assigned to a stationary, portable structure for the performance of these duties.

The Inn Manager will report to the General Manager of Food & Beverage as to inventory needs/ordering and any changes in production, product or employee issues.

The Carolina Renaissance Festival is seeking a Seasonal Food & Beverage Personnel Manager Assistant to assist with contacting and hiring kitchen positions via interviewing and telephone calls. Also assist with administrative tasks that include, but may not be limited to:

    * Light Filing

    * Computer Work (working knowledge of Excel)

    * Organizing the employee information packets for orientation day

    * Management of Festival weekend books

    * Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment

    * Good communication skills (verbal & computer)

    * Flexible schedule to work during the week and on weekends (typically a 5 day work week)

    * Availability to travel to our Arizona Festival, if possible (Jan - Apr)

    At the direction of the Personnel Manager (on Festival weekends) assist with the following:

    * Insure employee's get to assigned locations in a timely manner

    * Assist employees by answering questions if asked or direct them to the Personnel Manager as needed

This seasonal weekend position is responsible for greeting patrons and scanning their tickets as they enter the village. Parking is FREE courtesy of Festival sponsor Harris Teeter Grocery Stores. This position is for full time work, weekends included, up until the first of December. The primary responsibility is to register our Festival participants (employees, independent vendors, volunteers, performers, etc.) and operate and maintain our registration database.

This position offers approx. 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, leading up to the opening of the Festival season on October 5 and may change to include one or more weekend days during the Festival season which ends on November 24.

    Responsibilities include assisting office personnel with projects, greeting and helping walk-in office traffic, and answering the phones. Applicants should be friendly, detail oriented, and have excellent customer service skills. Office experience and familiarity with Microsoft Office is helpful but not required.

  • Click to inquire! This seasonal weekend position is responsible for the manual operation of the Festival's Cabriolet carts. Cabriolets are push and pull carts that patrons pay to ride in to be transported from place to place within the Festival village. Applicants should be friendly, outgoing, engaging, have ability to maintain awareness of surroundings, and be capable of pulling and/or pushing the Cabriolet carts over extended periods of time. Each Cabriolet ride is operated by two people. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older.

  • The Stage Crew supervise the mechanical and production needs of their stage. Depending upon the needs of the specific stages and acts, members of the crew may handle responsibilities such as sweeping the stage, arranging the benches, calling up a crowd, hanging signs, ushering patrons, checking posted stage schedules, assisting with hat pass, as well as set up and take down of props. On some stages, working with a sound system may be required.

  • No available positions at this time. The Festival is seeking a detailed oriented individual to assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of seasonal events associated with the overall production of the Festival. Events include, but may not be limited to:

    • Appearances by Festival performers at community and media events that occur both at the Festival and offsite in the Charlotte-metro and surrounding areas.

    • Special events that happen onsite at the Festival such as costume contests, weddings, vow renewals, PubCrawl, BrewFest, and visits by members of the media and/or sponsors.

    • Support events for performers such as auditions, workshops, and rehearsals.

    • Some related administrative tasks will also be assigned as needed.

    SCHEDULE:

    This is a seasonal position with a guarantee of 40 hours per week starting in June and ending on Wednesday, November 23rd.

    • June – September: Primarily a Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, office position with 40 hours per week. Occasionally events may require hours in the early morning, evenings, and on weekends. When these events occur, we will work with you in advance to adjust your Mon. – Fri. office hours so that you can have ample time off while maintaining the 40 hours per week.

    • October – November: Primarily Saturdays & Sundays, typically 7:00 am – 6:30 pm (Festival dates). 11.5 hours each day / 23 for the weekend. We will work with you in advance to schedule the remaining 17.5 hours during Mon. – Fri. so that you can have ample time off to counterbalance the busier Festival weekend schedule and maintain the 40 hours per week.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Applicants must:

    1. Be outgoing and possess strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

    2. Possess basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

    3. Have an interest in special event planning.

    4. Relate well with others and work in a team environment.

    5. Exhibit attention to detail.

    6. Be comfortable working outdoors and lifting / moving pop-up tent, small folding table, 2 folding chairs, and a few small boxes of printed promotional materials.

    7. Must have reliable transportation spacious enough to accommodate above mentioned items. Mileage reimbursement provided.

    8. Be able to provide original documents proving identity (such as a driver license or state ID) and showing eligibility to work in the United States (such as a birth certificate or Social Security card).     COMPENSATION & TIME FRAME:

    $14.00 per hour plus expense and mileage reimbursement. Experience earned will provide an insight into special event planning and special event marketing.
